Michigan submits state Early On® (Part C) section 618 data tables each year to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The Child Count table is based on the Fall Michigan Student Data System (MSDS) count. The Exiting table uses several MSDS collections to identify all children who exited Early On during the twelve months ending with the June End Of Year count date. The Dispute Resolution table is built using information from the Office of Special Education (OSE) dispute resolution tracking system.
The 618 Data Tables displayed have been adjusted to comply with state data reporting for confidentiality. Like the Profiles, counts of five or less are masked with “**” to indicate a small number. The federal submission does not mask low numbers.
Beginning with the 2015-16 reporting year, the Child Count and Setting report includes Section E: Cumulative Child Count, subtotaled by Race/Ethnicity and by Gender. Michigan compiles the Cumulative count by combining the Child Count with 12 months of exits ending with the Fall count date.
